Of course, some designs are more well-thought-out than others (essentially rendering some plants useless), but they’re still interesting to play with overall. But the environments are inspired and the work spent on each of the entities in the game is evident in just how many are available to choose from. PvZ 2 is far less linear than the first game, with the progress that seems staggered. Now, this addition would be unoriginal but not infuriating if not for the pay-to-win plants that can be purchased in the store for real money. The multiplayer arena is similar to that of Angry Birds, where players compete for points in order to gain rewards depending on their placement in the ranks. Plant food earned in the game can be used on different plants to activate their “special abilities” during the game. The game is just as simple as its predecessor but with some added features: a plant food system and a multiplayer arena. Zombies 2 that takes the brunt of criticisms.

Overall I highly recommend this game, although I don't recommend giving your credit card to your child while playing the game, as therefore some hefty microtransactions in the game. Now about the fact that I recommend children 4+ to play is on the basis that I myself started playing the game when I was 7, and the previous game when I was six, but the delay is due to the fact that I never heard of the game before as it had just released. Now about child friendliness, you might have heard about slight violence in the game, in the form of a ring of blood around the neck stump after they die, don't take those words seriously, it's not at all scary or scarring for children, it's just a pale shade of red on the neck stump's flesh, nothing to worry about.
